MAC Stuff!! - Spring Colour Forecast Collection

If you have a chance to get the Azalea Blossom Blush Ombre from the Spring Colour Forecast Collection DO IT! If you have a chance to get any of them I would jump on it. These blushes are so smooth and are so beautiful when applied.

Azalea Blossom (pictured above) has the prettiest color payoff you can get! I wasn't expecting how nice it turns out. I thought it would just look as it does in the pan. To my happy surprise it changed to a nice plummy dark pink because of that purple. It is so pretty on and it would look good on just about anybody! I almost want to go back and get another one of these just in case!

Also from this collection I picked up Laugh A Lot, Phlox, and Radicchio lipsticks which are amazing as well. After I got Laugh A Lot i noticed it looked a lot like my VIVA GLAM VI SE. I held them up together and they looked really similar but when they are applied they look totally different. VIVA GLAM VI SE is much more reddish than Laugh A Lot.

Radicchio is this berry color that makes your lips look juicy! It's named after a type of leaf vegetable and the color in the tube is pretty true to the vegetable. But on my lips it transforms into berries! It's a lustre so it has that extra shine that I love as well. It's still relatively dark for being a lustre though, which I did not expect.

And my favorite out of the three would be Phlox. It is this bubblegum pink with blue reflects and it makes my lips so pretty! It looks like how it does in the tube on your lips! But more sheer, of course. I really need to go back and get a back up of that too! I just really love this collection. So go get whatever is left at your stores or counters!!

Amazing Mascara - Rimmel Max Volume Flash (Pink)

I recently was introduced to this mascara by a guru on youtube. I have been using it off and on for a while now (just to test it out compared to the other mascaras I have) and I have come to the conclusion that I LOVE it.

It makes my lashes exactly how i want them to look, which normally takes 2-3 different mascaras to achieve (I know I'm crazy). I just really like that full and thick look! And to my happy surprise, this mascara gives me that! I even think its better than LashBlast (gasp!) which is really saying something. Sometimes I don't feel like curling my lashes and usually, it looks like I didn't. But with this mascara it lifts and curls it as well! This is my holy grail mascara.

The only problem with this is it flakes a little bit with the non-waterproof kind. But since I favor waterproof now-a-days anyway, it's perfect! The color I have is extreme black and it truly is extreme black (which I love). The blacker the better, in my opinion.

I just can't do both at the same time i guess, haha!! well i will try to do videos for the looks i have done below and try to coordinate my blog with future videos. we will see how that goes

Reading - Twilight Fanfic

i LOVE reading and i came across this twilight fanfic
i never ever thought i would like it let alone love it!
its so good you will be reading it non stop!
its not a continuation of twilight at all... it really has nothing to do with twilight except for the characters and some locations
but i promise you its soooo good!!
its called Wide Awake and if you think you wont like it (like i did) just give it a few chapters until you make your final decision!!

ps. it does have some sexual references and scenes so if you dont like that dont read it (the author does let you skip over those parts and it still makes sense)

go read it!!!!!

Rite Aid Sale!!

today i stopped by rite aid and there was a sale on prestige blush and some jesse's girl eye glitter stuff

it was 75% off! so i had to buy them even if they werent that good of quality

all four things came to the total of about $5 which is pretty good! i tested out the blushes and i was surprised how pigmented they were! highly recommend going and getting some of them

the eye glitter things are ok... i dont really know what i could use them for but hopefully i will come up with something... they werent as glittery as i would have liked but they will do for now... the pink one has blue glitter in it which i really liked

Yellow and Black Look

today i was just testing out a different makeup style and this is what i came up with

what i did was take a yellow eyeshadow and pat it on to my lid (that was primed with a base) with a large eyeshadow brush... i didnt have the right yellow i wanted but thats ok... then i took a matte black eyeshadow and swiped it from the outer corner of my eye up to my eyebrow... i used a little at first just in case i messed up and then i built up the darkness

next i took a highlight color and put it on my brow bone with a blender brush and i blended the highlight color into the black so there wasnt such a harsh line

then i lined my eyes like usual (black liquid on top and black pencil on bottom)

on my lashes is double extend beauty tubes and the victoria's secret hd mascara because i wanted really thick lashes

this is the inspiration picture from her youtube account
i loved it so much and i wanted to do it too but i also added some of my own touches to it to make it more "me" haha

(the camera kind of washes it out... the crease, in reality, is just as dark as the inspiration)

first i put on a base... then i patted a medium purple color all over the lid and in the crease with a large eyeshadow brush... in the inner corners of my eyes i patted on a light pink with the same brush

then i took a crease brush and took a small amount of black eyeshadow and swept it along the crease and i blended it into the purple that was there previously... (the black turns a really nice dark plum color when you do this) then i took a highlight color and with a blender brush i applied it on my brow bone and blended out the harsh lines of the purple and black

then i put black liquid eye liner on my top lashline and black pencil liner on my lower lash line and water line... over that i put a lilac glitter stick from pop beauty to give it a pretty sparkle

on my lashes is double extend beauty tubes mascara in black

Lamb Inspired Look

i was originally going to go to a preview of the new lamb collection today (saturday) so i was thinking that i should do something special for it.. then i thought about the lamb fragrance L and the bottle is green, red, and gold so i decided to use that as inspiration! i didnt end up going to the preview but i still did the makeup anyways because i was so excited about it.

first i but on an eyeshadow base (very important if you want the colors to stick well) then i put yellow/gold in the inner corners of my eye with a large eyeshadow brush... with that same brush i put on a kelly green on the outer corners... in the crease i put a red mixed with a little black for more depth with a crease brush... then as a highlight i put on a skin tone color with a blender brush.. i also used that brush to blend out any harsh lines with the eyeshadows

once i blended everything to my liking i lined the top lash line with a black liquid liner and lined the bottom with a black pencil liner... the mascara i used was the victoria's secret HD mascara

i LOVE these products!! and i am sooo glad that i found some heatherette stuff!! i just love the packaging!

i just ordered some neo sci fi stuff and another lipstick so ill tell you about that later

look of the week - orange and gold

today i did a look with orange and gold... it was inspired by the look of the week on makeupgeek's website

all i did was pat some eyeshadow on the inner corner and orange shadow on the outer corner both with a large eyeshadow brush (but you can really use any eyeshadow brush for it)... i also did the same thing on the lower lash line... i used a light pinky orange as a highlight and used a loreal colour juice lip gloss (the orange one idk the name because it rubbed off)

i also put on thick black eyeliner for some contrast and i used double extend beauty tubes mascara

Sally Hansen Green Tea + Bamboo Nail Strengthener

i have been using this everyday for about a week and i do feel my nails getting harder and stronger... one nail broke the other day though and that pissed me off... but hopefully that wont happen anymore.. but i think if i keep using it that it will just get better and better... also thing i noticed was that the whites of my nails look whiter... i dont know if that has anything to do with the nail polish but its good at any rate... another thing that seems to be happening is that my nails are growing faster! like bamboo i guess haha which is another good thing because i love long nails

i will update in a few more weeks to see if i think the results have been better or just stayed the same

coastal scents 88 shimmer palette look - smokey eye

today i decided to do a smokey eye with silver and black... this is what it looked like

first i put on a base and then i patted the silver onto my lids with a large eyeshadow brush

then i put black into my crease with a crease/blender brush and blended it out toward my brow bone.. i used a white shadow on my brow bone with a fluffy blending brush and blended that with the black even more

i lined the upper lash line with MAC's fluid line in black track with an angled brush (but you can use any black liner or liquid liner) and i lined the lower lashes with a pencil liner in black... on my lashes is the double extend beauty tubes mascara in black

coastal scents 88 shimmer palette look - natural plum

yesterday i did a more natural look with creams and plums.. it looked like this

i put on a base and i patted a creamy beige on my lids and brow bone with a large eyeshadow brush.. then i took a bronze color and put it in my crease and a little bit above the crease with that same brush

then to add more depth i put a dark plum in the crease with a crease/blender brush (this part is optional)

i used the victoria secret HD mascara on my lashes and i didnt use any liner to give it a more natural look

to prepare your skin for the best makeup application possible there are a few things that you need to do...

STEP ONE: i recommend exfoliating your face with a daily facial scrub... there are many brands that have scrubs like this (aveeno, st. ives, clean and clear, etc) my favorite is the daily pore cleanser by clean and clear

it is gentle enough to use everyday but its strong enough to get rid of dirt, dead skin, and oils from your skin... you can tell its scrubbing stuff off (with the micro scrubbers) and cleaning deep because when you rinse it off it feels cool and kind of tingly... it is also supposed to reduce the size of your pores which is a plus because i have huge pores... when all the dirt and dead skin is taken off and pores are reduced it creates a smooth surface for makeup application (which is what you want to have) this cleanser wont make your skin too dry after using it either, which is another good thing about it... it also doesnt have any acne fighting ingredients in it so for those who dont want those ingredients this is a good cleanser for that as well... acne fighting ingredients tend to dry your skin out even more and if you dont need it i wouldnt recommend using it

STEP TWO: the next thing i do is use another cleanser WITH acne fighting ingredients in it.. i know i probably could just replace these two products with one but i love them both and i think them together really works magic on my skin... i use the neutrogena oil free acne wash

i LOVE LOVE LOVE this stuff... it makes my face feel super clean because it also gets rid of dirt and oils as well as makeup... i feel that when i use this after the scrub it helps it to get every last drop of dirt and bad stuff off of my face... plus it has the acne fighting ingredients so thats good because i have had acne since FOREVER and i like to try and control it... it also isnt too drying for my skin which i like because my skin doesnt get tight after using it

(STEP ONE AND TWO USUALLY DONE IN THE SHOWER)

STEP THREE: after this is all done i use a moisturizer... i have two that i really love to use

AND

i love the aveeno clear complextion moisturizer because it also has acne fighting ingredients in it but it doesnt dry out my skin (like the clean and clear moisturizer with acne stuff in it does) and it also smells soooooo good!! i dont know how to describe the scent but it kind of reminds me of plants... hahaha that doesnt sound like it would smell good but it does!! just trust me on this one!
and i love the olay one because it has aloe in it which makes my skin feel tingly and clean... and its olay! they are known to have really good moisturizers and lotions (and its true they are amazing)

STEP FOUR: this step is optional but for some is a must have... putting on a primer!!
even after exfoliating and cleansing people still have uneven skin so using a primer really helps this problem... i do not use a primer but i have heard from many people that the mac matte-ifying primer is wonderful and i have tried the smashbox photofinish primer a few times at sephora and it works really well

the matte-ifying primer is supposed to smooth everything out and keep you from getting oily and shiny and keep your makeup in place
the smashbox photofinish is supposed to do the same thing but it also has vitamins A & E, grape seed extract and green tea in it and it is oil free (so it is good for those with acne) the photo finish also comes in other colors like green, apricot, and lavender to conceal as well as prime your face

since i have not tried them both for long periods of time i cannot tell you which is better but from the sound of it i would use the smashbox version

once these steps are complete you can put on your favorite foundation and blush and you are ready to conquer everything!

coastal scents 88 shimmer palette look - pinks, oranges, and reds

so i have been using the coastal scents palette A LOT lately because i love it so much! it has just about every color that you would ever want to use so you can literally recreate any look there is! it is 24.95 plus shipping at coastalscents.com

today i decided to show you a look i did with the hot pink color, the red orange, and the darkest red colors in the palette... i also used a highlight color for my brow bone... this is sooo super easy!!! all you need are those 4 colors... and you dont have to use the 88 shimmer palette just use similar colors and it will be just as beautiful!!

FIRST PUT ON A BASE!! to start i patted the bright pink color on my lids with a large eye shadow brush.. these colors are very pigmented so you dont need to keep applying it... the red orange in the crease and above the crease with a crease brush.. then i put the darkest red in the crease also with the crease brush (to add more depth use a little brown with the dark red) i also used a highlight color on my brow bone with a blending brush (this is different with everyone)

i used the double extend beauty tubes for my eylashes as well
i will be doing different looks like this in the future.. they wont all be as bright... i will also do neutral looks :)

everyday minerals makeup

i love everyday minerals because it covers well and its good for your skin... there are many kinds of mineral makeup out there and not all of it is pure minerals... but everyday minerals is pure... theres nothing that is bad for your skin in it and it wont make you breakout like some other foundations... they let you try out free samples to see what your foundation color is (all you have to pay is about 5 dollars in shipping) which not many other companies let you do... they are really there for the customer... they even have free gifts with purchase all the time! this is the best because i love free stuff

i think that they are the best mineral makeup out there... they have so many foundation and concealer shades so every skin tone will find something.. they are always coming out with new products so there is always something new that you may like... i have so many products from everyday minerals its crazy.. i must have like 20 blushes haha... i just love their blushes so much because they look so natural.. also this brand is not very expensive at all so if you are on a budget i would highly recommend them... they have kits where you get to pick and choose what you want to get and its cheaper to get the kits than order individually

i have a few back ups for my foundation and all over face powder (to take away shine and get rid of pores) and as you can see i have too many blushes.. its hard to remember which one i have used recently haha... i acquired these in 3 separate orders plus a lot of free samples (you can always get more free samples theres no limit.. but only one per order) i have some eyshadows too but since they are in such small containers its hard to see what color it is on the camera... but i love them too... everyday minerals has done such a great job at all of the things they produce i cant wait to get more (even though i probably shouldnt get any more because i have so much already ahha.. but i cant help but love it!)

they also have THE BEST foundation and blush brushes i have ever used!! i would HIGHLY recommend getting a few of those if anything else!! i havent tried their eyeshadow brushes but i have heard good things about those too

review of crest white strips - advanced seal

so i bought these a while ago and i forgot i did because they were like behind some stuff in my room.. then i remembered i got it when i saw all of those videos about crest white strips come out.. so i decided to do a review of my own

well first of all this is only the first day that i have been using it so i dont know if it works or not (but i am sure it does)BUT my initial thoughts are that i love how it just sticks right on to your teeth! like its so sticky once you put it on you cant move it around! so that means make sure you put it on carefully... they taste the same as the original crest white strips but i found that you didnt get a lot of the whitening gel taste as much as the plastic taste.. the old white strips they would slip and slide and you would have that gross taste in your mouth that whole time.. eww... when i tried to take them off i really had to pull at them! thats how strong of a hold this new technology has! i thought it was a really good thing and it really showed how awesome the product is... over all i love it so far and i hope my teeth get super white! also after taking them off you will get that gross taste in your mouth but just spit it out and you will be fine... you might have to spit it out a few times but it will go away eventually!! happy whitening!!

review of the victoria secret products

ok so i said i would tell you all about what i thought about the new makeup i bought the other day... i have only tried the vs ones because i wanted to just focus on one until i formed my opinions

i actually love these products so much! the eyeshadow is super pigmented (the light pink shade is not as pigmented as the others though but it still works well).. the mascara is amazing because it lengthens and thickens like you wouldnt believe... the lipgloss is very pretty.. its sheer so its not going to be as dark as it looks in the tube.. and the blush i love! its like the perfect shade of pink and it goes on very natural looking!! i highly recommend this set! plus right now its on sale at the stores so that makes it even better!

this is after a day of wearing it (with a base) and it stayed on pretty good!!

boyfriends birthday (tomorrow) and new school year!!! yay

so my boyfriends birthday is tomorrow! which is super exciting because i love birthdays no matter whos it is (but especially mine which is coming up soon!!!) but the thing is that he has EVERYTHING that anyone could ever have/want/need... so wtf am i supposed to get him? i have been thinking about this for some time now and i just dont know what you get a person who has everything... i guess i could make him something but my crafting skills arent the greatest... too bad he isnt a girl because then i could get him makeup essentials haha... a while ago i did make him a candle but thats only one thing i could give him... when its my birthday or christmas or anytime for present giving i always get a shitload of stuff... thats why this is hard to think about... i was also going to write him a poem but i tried multiple times and it just sounded stupid (i had some girl write one because she asked if she could and i was like sure idc and it turned out amazing but i am not gonna use that!! its like kicking myself in the ass if i do that haha) so yeah thats like the main thing on my brain right now

i just paid my tuition for next school year at fidm (yay) and i start on april 8th i believe.. super excited!! i love registering and getting new classes (which is on monday) and i am really excited for finals!! not because of the work.. i hate the work.. but because ill have a lot of finished wonderful looking projects i can use to get a job! but interior design jobs are hard to come by since the economy went to shit *sigh* so i am pretty much screwed in the job category as of now... but at least i am doing SOMETHING you know? like i am in school and learning everything i can so hopefully when i am out of school the economy will be better and i will be super successful and be rich and live my dream haha! lets hope so

covergirl mascara - lashblast luxe

i love this mascara!! its just like lashblast (which is already amazing) but it is tinted with different colors and has shimmer in it to brighten the eyes.

i got the one called black emerald which is tinted green and will bring out the green in my eyes... there are also other colors like black, blue and red which are called black platinum, black royale and black cabernet, respectively. since it is tinted it will bring out colors in your eyes and make them shine brighter. they have very subtle tints so its nothing wild and super out there.
it is just like the exact eyelights eye brightening mascara that is also by covergirl but its a MUCH better quality... it has to be one of the best because it is lashblast! just with extra things added to it! i highly recommend this!

new makeup

i just got some new makeup! from victoria's secret and nordstrom rack
super excited about it all because i got super good deals!

the vs one is by heidi klum and is called the spring look... it comes with an eyeshadow quad in devoted (matte petal pink), primal (matte dark brown), rich (matte eggplant), and champagne (with shimmer), HD mascara in blackest black, a highlighter/blush duo in fresh (there's a darker and lighter pink), and a lip gloss in blush (its a very sheer rosy pink)... it all comes in a nice, white makeup bag with an extra mirror inside... over all i really love the colors of everything! they are so pretty... this was on sale from $50 to $40 at victoria's secret

next i got two palettes from two faced.. one is called the hopeless romantic and the other is called the new romantic

the hopeless romantic palette is part of the quickie chronicles and has 4 eyeshadows (a dark brown with sparkles, a barbie pink with shimmer, a creamy light beige with sparkles, and a deep black with sparkles), 4 lip glosses (pale pink, medium pink, hot pink, and a dark raspberry), 2 blushes (a corally pink and a dusty rose), a contouring duo (a darker and a lighter brown), and a highlighter (it has a yellowish tinge to it but doesnt go on yellow... its more transparent) this was about $13 at nordstrom rack

the new romantic palette has 3 eyeshadows (an olive green with shimmer, a dark brown with sparkles, and a champagne with shimmer), 3 lip glosses (a sparkley brown, a orangey pink with shimmer, and a very pale pink with shimmer), and a blush (dusty rose) this was about $11 at nordstrom rack

i really like all of the colors!! when i first swatched them they seemed to be very pigmented, which is super good!! i will give them all test runs and give you some feedback about them... talk to you soon!
